Alanya Municipality put 3 new open spaces and a park around the harbour into service, Ataturk monument and Damlatas Beach within the concept of Urban Planning Project. 

Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu said that it is inevitable to create resting areas for the city to breathe freely and added that nobody will have an expectation from a tourism city lost all its attractiveness and possessions.

Mayor Sipahioglu said that they are predicating on people satisfaction and pleasure based projects and aiming at turning Alanya into a focus of interest and attractiveness. The Urban Planning Project is gradually carried out since 2004 within this concept. Mayor Sipahioglu said “Our goal is to ease our people’s city life and enable people from every section to benefit from tourism sufficiently.
